Scheduled Training Courses for September and October 2009

The following courses will be delivered in Shrewsbury by Chris Page (joining instructions and travel directions will be issued prior to the course).

The half-day courses include refreshments morning or afternoon, and the one-day courses all refreshments and a buffet lunch. Maximum of 6 delegates on each course (8 delegates on the Public Speaking Workshops). Each delegate will receive a printed course manual and individual use of a computer during training - PCs not used in Public Speaking workshops. These courses are designed for people who want to learn important skills and improve performance in a friendly, relaxed, but informed environment. Tuesday 8 September 2009 Afternoon - This course is designed for users of Microsoft Excel, and introduces quick and easy methods to enhance your spreadsheets. £85 + VAT

Microsoft Excel Formula Essentials (½-day)

Wednesday 9 September 2009 Morning - This course is designed for all users of Microsoft Excel. It shows how to create your own formulas and start working with multiple worksheets and multiple files. £85 + VAT

Microsoft Excel Tools and Functions (½-day)

Wednesday 9 September 2009 Afternoon - This course is designed for all users of Microsoft Excel, and shows how to work with various functions including lookup and text functions. It also covers how to carry out what-if analysis. £85 + VAT

Microsoft Excel Analysing and Protecting your Data (½-day)

Thursday 10 September 2009 Morning - Designed for all users of Microsoft Excel, and shows how to keep your data accurate and protect it from change. It also shows how to filter and analyse your worksheets including using pivot tables. £85 + VAT

Microsoft Excel Analysing and Protecting your Data (½-day)

Thursday 10 September 2009 Afternoon - This course is designed for more experienced users of Microsoft Excel, and shows how to work with advanced functionality to achieve specific results. £85 + VAT

Microsoft Access Beyond the Basics (1-day)

Monday 14 September 2009 - This course is for people who have already used Access and want to take it further. Improve user forms. Use queries to update, archive and analyse information. Create reports and sub-reports. £165 + VAT

Public Speaking Workshop (1-day)

Monday 12 October 2009 - This course covers planning and delivering a talk or presentation. Coping with stage fright, techniques of speaking, handling difficulties, tips for success and use of visual aids. No computers are used but delegates are expected to deliver a 5 minute presentation on a subject of their choice. They will also have opportunity to re-work the presentation and deliver it again following feedback. £165 + VAT

Tuesday 13th October 2009 Morning - For all users of Microsoft Word. It shows how to achieve a professional look. Including tabs, tables, page numbering, and section breaks. £85 + VAT

Microsoft Word Creating Reports (½-day)

Tuesday 13th October 2009 Afternoon - For all users of Microsoft Word. Create informative and professional reports. Includes styles, linking to Microsoft Excel and other programs, tables of contents and indexes, and document tracking. £85 + VAT

Microsoft Word Graphics and Mail Merging (½-day)

Wednesday 14th October 2009 Morning - For all users of Microsoft Word. This course shows how to use mail merge and graphics to produce eye-catching letters in numerous quantities. £85 + VAT

Microsoft Word Electronic Forms and Macro Basics (½-day)

Wednesday 14th October 2009 Afternoon - For experienced users of Microsoft Word. Set up Word-based electronic forms and also look at the basics of recording automation macros. £85 + VAT
